AirGradient Connection
Raising air quality awareness through hands-on education and community engagement.
In October, we contacted AirGradient, a fast-growing air pollution prevention organization with projects located around the globe. We introduced our project to the institution, explaining our origin and goals and our hope to collaborate with AirGradient through the use of their iconic air quality monitors. They were generous enough to grant us several monitors for a limited time, which we are truly grateful for. We plan to show off these monitors in outreach events like the Farmer’s Markets and to place them all around Houston to collect data. We will be able to collect the concentrations of several air pollutants, including CO2, PM 2.5/10, NO2, and VOCs, to identify areas of poor air quality and their causes.
