Berry Miller Event
Educating students about air quality through hands-on learning and community engagement.
We hit our target audience by going to Berry Miller Junior High, a school with students that fit our target age. To teach the students about the challenges of air quality in the community, we prepared a fun and informative presentation about our project along with a hands-on experiment. The experiment involved students applying Vaseline onto paper plates and placing them at different locations around the school. These plates were able to accumulate dust and particulate matter in the air over time, giving the students visual knowledge of the air quality around the area. At the end of our presentation, students did a fun air quality Kahoot where they showed how much they learned. About 20 students showed up for our presentation.
